Handcrafted Wood Products
During the off-season I make some wood products from native lumber, mostly harvested off my own farm. My specialty is making carved-relief wooden signs for businesses or homes. My farm sign is a good example of the work. The image in the photo is 3' in diameter, and I can transfer images up to about 5'. The cost depends on the total size of the sign, whether it is one-sided or two-sided, how much carving is involved and the amount of painting required. Call, write, or stop by for an estimate.
I can also make wooden benches, either from sawn boards, or for a more rustic look, from slabwood cut from the logs. All are treated with 3 coats of heavy duty spar varnish to hold up to the weather. Plain benches, with no carved relief, are $15/ft., up to 8' long.
