WInter is a hard time on the farm, with only a few potatoes and onions to sell the income drops off precipitously just about the time you have to purchse seeds and plants for the upcoming year.

This year I am trying a new approach to help raise some capital for the planting season. Taking a leaf from the Community Supported Agriculture play book I am offering customers the chance to pre-purchase vegetables for the 2010 season. Unlike a CSA the customer gets to chose what vegetables to purchase and when they can get them (in season of course).

You can purchase vouchers for vegetables in books that are redeemable either on the farm or at the farmers market. Either way you get a great deal, because a book worth $55 will cost you only $50 until April 15th..
